If you guessed ‘Naeto C’ when we asked who our new replacement judge was going to be, then congratulations - you guessed right!

The ‘Kini big deal’ and ’10 over 10’ crooner will be resuming judging duties this weekend. We caught up with him to give us a sneak peak. He is pretty excited to be a judge on the show.

‘I’m absolutely looking forward to it’ he said.  Previously on past seasons of the show, he appeared as a performer at some of the audition tours and even as a guest judge on the show.

 As many already know, one of our judges, Afro-beat maestro, Femi Kuti has left the show for a brief period of time due to his demanding schedule after spending a few months on the show, entertaining us with his style of judging.

The third-time Grammy nominated singer has left for the United States to begin his World Tour. This of course, was a difficult decision to make as he is now very comfortable and in love with his new job on Nigerian Idol as a judge.

But, he will be returning to his judging duties as soon as his tour is over if it is any consolation.

In the meantime, Naeto C will be filling Femi Kuti’s space and bringing his own unique flavour to the show. And if we are lucky, he might perform some of his biggest singles on stage. Another reason to stay tuned.

It’s a win win.
